If you're like me, then you have a long way to go in the world of promotion. I get on a roll...and then it drops off. I think I'm going to stick with a blogpost, and the next thing you know - I've forgotten to post. In weeks no less.

I had to post this list of how to do everything (well many things musically) better. Unfortunately, i had to learn many of these tips the hard way - by making the mistakes that reinforce the point. Ok, so every once in a while I hit that same block that everyone else does..."Ugh, what can I write about next?" I've been stuck for a bit, and my only way out has been to keep arranging new songs, finding new beats, new instruments, new breaks - and hope that inspiration hits. Then I read this little piece provided by cdbaby. Yes, I steal their blogs and posts every once and again. But I figure that if it helps me, it may help someone else as well.

I noodled my way through some new lyrics and feel like maybe I haven't run out of ideas just yet. Ipad & songwriting

I've been exploring this issue of using my Ipad for songwriting. Garageband sure does make it easy...but with new updates and ways to interface with my mac at home, it's a virtual DAW that goes everywhere I do! At first this was a bit daunting because it was hard to find the time to figure out how to create music innovatively on the Ipad. But now I've got quite a different problem because I've got more works going than ever. Well, I'm dipping my toe into the blog fountain here. I know others who have these crazy-busy blogs with "followers," contests, giveaways, newsfeeds, and much more. While I don't expect to run quite that wild with this baby, I hope to post some things that I (and hopefully you) find useful.
